After twelve years of professional development and specialization in the United Kingdom and following the British model, Carlos Macías Oliva (Diploma in Traumatology and Orthopedics by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons) and Mari Paz Gracia (Certificate in Veterinary Dermatology by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons) founded the Veterinary Reference Center Bahía de Málaga, the first center in Spain with exclusive attention to cases referred in the specialties of Traumatology, Neurology and Neurosurgery.

In 2010 we incorporated to our facilities the first CT scanner with private capital in Andalusia representing a breakthrough in diagnostic imaging.

In 2013, after completing his training in England and Liege, Juan Miguel Ramirez Leon (Diploma in Surgery from the European College) joined the team, promoting the area of Soft Tissue Surgery at the Center, as well as contributing to the growth of the Orthopedics, Traumatology, Neurology and Neurosurgery service.

Later that same year Rafael Romero joins our team as a collaborating sonographer and finally in 2019, Victor Domingo joins the team to develop the Oncology area.

In 2018 the Centro Veterinario de Referencia Bahía de Málaga becomes the first veterinary center in Spain to join AniCura, being renamed AniCura Bahía de Málaga Referencia Veterinaria.

In 2020 we renewed our TAC incorporating a 32 cutting-edge equipment of last generation.

We are currently in the process of expanding our facilities. Once the works are finished we hope to be able to incorporate other specialties and services to our center to continue providing quality service to our pets.
